14 Magnificent AFTERNOON concerts with DAZZLING imagery ON 5 SCREENS

This event has now finished.

Last Easter, the London Film Museum and the Chamber Ensemble of London brought you 4 days of magnificent concerts with dazzling imagery projected onto 5 screens in the historic Debating Chamber in the heart of County Hall.

Directed by international violinist Peter Fisher, the concerts were spread over 4 afternoons with two different programmes;

London Four Seasons
Featuring Vivaldi’s most famous set of concertos with accompanying images of old masters and contemporary photographers.

London and the Thames
Using photographs old and new, films, and children’s art, these concerts featured Handel’s Water Music, the Yeoman of the Guard, the Lambeth Walk, Old Father Thames, the Westminster Waltz, the Eton Boating Song, London Pride, and special new music by Clive Jenkins, who wrote all the arrangements.

Peter Fisher trained in England, Germany and America. He is at home in all styles from Baroque to Jazz. Following an Albert Hall concert with John Dankworth and Cleo Laine, The Times hailed him as being “amongst a handful of the world’s finest musicians”. John Dankworth since composed a work especially for him to play at Wigmore Hall. The Chamber Ensemble of London has given dozens of classical concerts at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and it’s CD “English Music for Strings” has featured on BBC Radio 3.

We are hoping to do more of these concerts later in the year, so please watch this space for more announcements
